Compassion is at the heart of our efforts at Lehigh County Office of Aging and Adult Services

Lehigh County Office of Aging and Adult Services has many services that are geared for those in need. The office is committed to supporting and empowering the well-being of adults of all ages. Our role is to assist these individuals to remain active, healthy, productive, and independent in their community.

One of our important programs is the caregiver support program. The program offers assistance and responds to the needs of caregivers, in order for them to provide the best possible care for their loved ones. Some of the reimbursable items and possible services include the following: disposable undergarments, disposable gloves, therapeutic creams, nutritional supplements, adult day care services, insulin syringes, catheters, private pay personal or respite care services, and monthly life alert.

We also offer services for grandparents raising grandchildren. This program allows older adult caregivers of children to be reimbursed for normal school and extracurricular activity expenses, along with any medical consumable supplies that may be needed for a child with medical care needs. Consumable supplies are expendable items needed on an ongoing basis to provide care to the care receiver. Caregivers receive reimbursement for their out-of-pocket expenses.

This team of social workers is here to help those in need. If you or someone you know needs assistance please contact them at 610-782-3200.
