After growing up in Brooklyn, NY, Domenico Recchia and his wife, Maria, ventured out to establish their very own Italian restaurant in Slatington, PA. As the business began to grow, so did their family. Together with their three children, they owned and operated Mama’s Pizza in Slatington for 21 years. In 2016, the family moved their business to Allentown, PA with a new name — Zio’s Pizzeria. The Recchia’s continue to run a friendly and welcoming establishment that is centered around their culture, family values, and, of course, their customers. Their mission is to provide their customers with quality food and exceptional service, with the help of family recipes passed down through generations.
