When a person loves what they do for a living, it shows. And Elsa O’Brien loves her job. Elsa is the owner of You’ve Got Maids, serving Upper Bucks County into Montgomery and Lehigh Counties as well. since 2010. She realizes the importance of her business to all her customers, residential and commercial. 

Having a clean home has become extra-important over the past year with the rise of the COVID19 coronavirus. You’ve Got Maids uses products that are certified to kill the coronavirus and keep families safe. You’ve Got Maids brings the same “COVID clean” services to their commercial customers. The clean teams don masks and gloves and follow strict COVID protocols while working. You’ve Got Maids offers whole house cleaning or more specific cleaning plans, “we do it all, whatever the customer needs”, says Elsa. 

A key tool that You’ve Got Maids uses in eradicating the COVID virus from surfaces is the electrostatic spray gun. This spray cleaning process applies an electrostatically charged mist onto surfaces. The positively-charged mist is attracted to all negative surfaces, covering the entire area with disinfectant. 

“Even though people are home more because of the virus, they are busier than ever, working and doing schoolwork virtually. We come in to do the cleaning that they really don’t have time to do,” says Elsa. “And it’s certifiably clean!” 

Through You’ve Got Maids, Elsa works to do good in her community. She has worked to raise money for the Quakertown Food Pantry and collected donations for those affected by Hurricane Katrina. You’ve Got Maids participates in the Cleaning for a Reason program, which provides free home cleaning for cancer patients. Elsa remarks that this is her favorite program. Sometimes her cleaning team are the only personal interaction that a cancer patient may have. Elsa also volunteers time with Quakertown Alive! to help improve downtown Quakertown. 

You’ve Got Maids moved to downtown Quakertown in September 2019, putting Elsa right where she likes to be – in the center of the action. Her new space at 351 West Broad Street offered enough room for Elsa to open an event venue, The Gathering Place.
